The 1970 Monaco Grand Prix saw one of the most dramatic finishes in the history of Formula One. With 20 laps to go Jack Brabham had a lead of 14 seconds over Jochen Rindt. But Jochen reduced the deficit and started the final lap right behind Jack who was pressured into making a mistake on the last corner of this dramatic last lap, leaving Jochen to take a historic win. It would be the last GP victory for the Type 49.
This remarkable last lap also produced a new lap record for the Lotus driver, and a great excuse for Andrew Kitson to produce this fabulous image of Jochen in action. This is an officially licenced Classic Team Lotus print.
